I am not a very good blogger it is hit and miss for me maybe I should change the name of my blog to "Hit and Miss"

Babysitting  2 of my 5 grandchildren in Pullman Washington this week. I love my grandchildren and love helping out with them. get ready here comes the but, I am so glad at my age I get to be a grandma and not a full time mom anymore. It is hard work, exhausting work, work for a younger more energetic woman . I never looked more forward to nap time or bed time as I do as a Grandma. I do love my Grandchildren and love spending time with them without their parents in small doses. I get to go back to being me and being free  real soon and that is what keeps me going. I think I should explane the exhaustion you see when I was a mother of 5 little ones I let them entertain each other so I could get other things done and therefore did not entertain them all day but with Grandchildren I feel the need to be with them constantly even as I type this they are in the same room and I am etertaining them as I type for some reason I feel that I owe my children that so there children are super safe. Even though my children made it to adulthood without to much trauma. Love one exhausted Grandma

I need to post a new blog post so here we go. news, My husband bought a boat I'm not a real big fan of boat ownership but he has wanted one for years and I finally gave in it is a good size boat we went out on it Saturday. My husband needs to learn to drive it better before I get on it again. We were almost tipper over a lot and getting it back on the trailer was not fun He could not keep it straight to save his life. all that aside it was a good day with the family. looking forward to going to bear lake with the  family in 2 weeks we are staying the weekend. so it should be fun.

I guess I am seriously boring because I have nothing to blog about. The funny thing is I am never bored with myself I can entertain myself for hours without getting bored. My anniversary is coming up this weekend and my husband and I are going back to our honeymoon spot in snowbird UT. we don't have to go far we live like 10 miles from there. but we haven't been back to stay over night there in 31 years.

I forget about my blog

I'm lacking in the blog department, I forget about it all the time. Lets see since my last post I have gone to NYC
it was amazing I can't wait to go again. we saw the show Mama Mia, we went to Carlos' bakery aka the cake boss it was yummy. we did all the sight seeing stuff, went to china town and spent too much money. we walked the Brooklyn bridge saw nick Jonas and Katie Couric. New York people are very friendly and helpful.I think they are a very industrious people they come up with some very creative ways to make a living. I also went to Pullman Wash. to visit my oldest son and his beautiful family I had a great time even if I did have a monster cold
I love my family and love to spend time with them.

Okay I am way behind in my blogging. I promised cruise pics so here we are. The cruise was so so It was my first cruise and I was not super impressed, I am open to trying it again maybe a Mediterranean cruise.or a family Disney cruise with the family.

just another Dixon Christmas

Well the the gifts have all been handed out the wrapping and ribbon have all been gathered and thrown away.
Everyone is feed and filled to the brim. What takes months and weeks of planning and shopping, carefully wrapped and handled with care is now piled in a neat pile or stacked on dressers and it only took a few glorious minutes but it was all worth every penny , every minute of planning and shopping. I'm ready to do it all over again next year. I took a lot of pictures but the memory stick I used decided to crash so no pictures just the ones in my head and my heart but I have no USB cord for my head so they must remain private, so sorry because my family is adorable. Merry Christmas too all and may the New Year bring only good fortune and good health too all.

Okay I spent way too much for Christmas, but I couldn't help it.  I love my Family and love to spoil them. Charles and I are getting a cruise for Christmas to the Catalina islands and Ensenada.  I can't wait there will be pictures here when We get back we go in January . This is my first cruise. So this Christmas I'm also spoiling myself. we are also doing something new this Christmas, we usually draw names but this year we are doing a sort of white elephant thing except we are getting new gifts, so we will see how it goes.

To whom it my concern, I love Christmas! not for the gifts I think I will get, but because I love to shop I love to shop for my family and friends. My house begins in October being filled with boxes and bags and I love it. sometime after Christmas I find little stocking stuffers I bought and hid away.and forgot about. I also love Christmas music and all the lights and decorations of the holidays. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night

Ranting and Raving

I just had my bike stolen from my house I had a lock on the back wheels so they had to carry it off or throw it in to the back of a truck It was my dream bike a three wheeler with a big basket on the back who would want to still an old ladies bike right? well that just takes me into my hate for this neighborhood . I have lived here for 22 years but I have always hated it. After 22 years I have made a lot of friends here so If I were to move away I would diffidently leave a piece of my heart behind. Putting that aside I would love to get out of this neighborhood but my husband doesn't share my hatred , he is planning to grow old and die right here in this house. It was his choice and I gave in so that is why we are here. My children had bikes stolen all the time while growing up in this neighborhood, we have had cars broken into and things stolen out of them. we have had neighbors who would love to call the police if they saw our dogs out in the front yard we have had letters from the city so many time that I have lost count, because our grass was 4-inches long,  occasionally my son's would have old cars that they  where working on in the drive way and we would get a letter from the city saying we have to get rid of it. it is just ridiculous all that we have had to put up with in this neighborhood. thank you blog for letting me rant and rave.
